From the Telegraph & Times of 12 Nov 2022: GUISE Sir Christopher James (Jamie). Died peacefully on 8th November 2022, aged 92. Very much loved and missed by his wife Carole and all his family and friends. Funeral to be held at 12 noon on Tuesday 29th November 2022, at Elmore Church, Elmore, Gloucestershire.

He was s of Sir Anselm William Edward GUISE 7th Bt 1888-1970 and Nina Margaret Sophie 1897-1991 d of Sir James Augustus GRANT 1st & only Bt (of the 1928 cr) 1867-1932 and Nina Frances 1869-1942 d of Arthur Challis KENNARD 1831-1903 scion of that gentry family f/o Cawley Court by his 1866 m reg Q1 London to Anne HOMAN-MULOCK 1844-1926. He m 1969 as her 2nd h (her 1st was Charles E R Benson) Carole Hoskins b 1936 reg Q3 Surrey d of Jack Nelson Streynsham Hoskins MASTER 1905-79 of The Dower House, Crawley, Winchester by his 1934 m reg Q2 Hants to Ruth Isabel 1908-94 d of Maj-Gen Kenneth Marten BODY CB CMG OBE 1883-1973 by his 1907 m to Isabel Neumann Fell SMITH 1883-1971, and had a son and dau. His son succeeds him:

He m 1st 1997 (div 2003) Hannah L d of John L Bruce of Sculthorpe House, Norfolk. He m 2nd Feb 2010 Sarah Louise b 1979 reg Q4 Lancs d of James WHEWELL of Wyreside Park, Scorton, Lancs by his 1977 m reg Q2 Derbys. to Sara E GREGORY, by whom he has a son and a dau.

The late baronet's father was the 6th Baronet, who was succeeded first by his elder son Sir John, 7th Baronet (1929 - 2007), and then Sir Christopher, 8th Baronet
