My copy of Burke's Landed Gentry,18th Edition,Volume 1(1965) has the family entry under 'Tyrwhitt-Drake formerly of Shardeloes' where William Thomas Perceval's parents are noted as Capt.Francis John Tyrwhitt-Drake,Lord of the Manor and Patron of the Living of Amersham and his wife Vivien Dorothy Spray, eldest dau. of R.V.Farnham.

Burke's Landed Gentry 1952 gives the family as Tyrwhitt-Drake of Shardeloes, so still in their possession then.  William Thomas Perceval T-D is stated as heir to Shardeloes (to his uncle, Capt Thomas T-D MC born 1893 Head of the Family).

Not sure why Capt Francis John T-D not given as heir? He is given as resident at Pantons, Dallington, Heathfield, Sussex.

Capt Francis John T-D is listed as Head of the family in the 1965 BLG resident at 9 More's Gardens, Cheyne Walk London SW3

It appears Shardeloes was sold in 1957 and was later converted into apartments.  It had been requisitioned in the war as a maternity hospital and was saved from possible demolition by the efforts of the newly formed Amersham Society.  See wikipedia article and also minutes of the Amersham Society on their website

It will be seen that the sale to a Mr McTaggart was agreed in Feb 1957  - Capt Thomas T-D MC, the owner before Capt Francis T-D (his brother) had died on 22 March 1956
