He was s of Lt-Cdr Peter Harry CATOR VRD RNR 1908-79 scion of that gentry family of Woodbastwick and Kythe Susan 1909-94 d of John Calthorpe BLOFELD 1874-1920 sometime head of that gentry family of Hoveton House and Isabel Clare BURROUGHES 1871-1968 scion of that gentry family f/o Burlingham. He m Christiane _ and had a son, Nicholas, as above.

He is mourned by his wife Christiane Van Ussel; his son Nicholas Cator with his wife Parivash.
