From the Times of 8 Nov 2022: PEPLOE Charles Norman George, Edinburgh, passed away peacefully on 22nd October 2022, aged 92. Beloved husband of the late Carolyn, father, grandfather and loved by many. Funeral service at Mortonhall Crematorium, Pentland Chapel, Edinburgh, on Thursday, 17th November at 1.30pm. No flowers or letters, please.
He was s of Capt Charles Reid PEPLOE 1890-1933 and Catherine Mary 1897-1980 MACFIE. He m 1960 Carolyn 1941-2021 d of S/Ldr Count Manfred Maria Edmund Ralph Beckett CZERNIN DSO MC DFC RAF 1913-1962 (gs of 2nd Baron GRIMTHORPE 1856-1917) and his former wife Maud Sarah 1917-95 d of Ronald James HAMILTON 1872-1978 (gs 1st Duke of ABERCORN 1811-85 etc) and Florence Marguerite HANNA c1874-1959, and had two sons: Manfred Crispin David b 1969(who m 1997 reg Q2 London Parnee L CHERUBINI) and Fergus Charles Nicholas b 1970
