Robertson - The engagement is announced between Nicholas, son of Mr James Devas, of Bembridge, Isle of Wight, and Mrs Philippa Devas, of London, and Francesca, daughter of Mr Charles Robertson, of London, and Mrs Geoffrey Wheating, of Horningsham, Wiltshire.

As the prospective bridegroom's father died, after a long illness, on 20th June 2024 (see Richard's posting of 29th June at https://groups.google.com/g/peerage-news/c/3cuWMPG4vS0), I wonder whether the marriage took place on 15th June, just five days before that sad event.

 

It would appear that the prospective bride's parents are the Charles M ROBERTSON and Jane W WAITE whose marriage was registered in Westminster in May 1986. See Richard's posting of 5 August 2022  at https://groups.google.com/g/peerage-news/c/UXe1XGri02A for the announcement of Mrs Robertson's engagement to her second husband (it seems from the parish newsletter that their wedding took place on 29 September 2022).

 

I would take a further guess that the prospective bride is the Francesca Alice ROBERTSON, mother's maiden name Windsor Waite, whose birth was registered in Wandsworth in March 1992.
