He was s of Maj William Utrick RITSON (1906-40) by his 1934 m (reg Q2 Yorkshire) to Penelope Evelyn (1910-2007, having m 2nd 1942 Otho Munton Bullivant), d of Lt-Col Frederick William WORMALD DSO (1869-1948* see note) scion of the gentry family of that name of Heathfield, and Evelyn Christina CARDWELL (1875-1960). He m 1961 (reg Q4 Oxfordshire) (Margaret) Dawn Johnson (b 1937 reg Q4 Cheshire) d of Gordon Terence Johnson HOUGHTON and Helen Marjory (1910-) d of Lt-Col Fulke James WALWYN DSO (1875-1945), sometime head of the gentry family of that name formerly of Longford, and Louisa Nora Lockhard GREENSHIELDS (1881-1926). They had a son (Will(iam) A (b 1965 reg Q3 Berkshire). He m 1993 Verena April (b 1968) d of Hugh Rowland Murray (Robin) BARRAN (1929-2004), scion of the Bts of that name, and Diana Buttercup (b 1931) d of Eric Geoffrey DAWNAY (1890-1970, gs of 7th Viscount DOWNE (1812-57)) and had two sons and a dau.) and a dau, Jen.
