The Cracroft's Peerage website seems to have disappeared. Does anyone know the back story?

I don't know the backstory, but the last time I tried to use it a few weeks ago, I noticed that it hadn't been updated for several years.

According to WHOIS records the website is registered with Namesco since August 2004.  It is registered with them until August 2023, and the front page is effectively an advert from them for somebody to buy the domain.

Archive.org indicates that the website was still functional in October 2022, and probably after this date, and one page indicates updates in October 2020

I was able to save an html index of the whole site with all its contents and files on 21 May 2021, so it should still be useful for reference, even though the site has barely been updated since 2020 if at all. The one I have is more complete than the Archive.org backup since that one does not have every single page.
