He was s of Capt Henry Edward Hugh BLAKENEY MC 1890-1958 scion of that Irish gentry family and (Helene) Iris 1895-1984 d of Thomas (Tom) BULLOUGH 1858-1915 of Fasnacloich, Argll and Jessie Whilhelmina ROBERTSON 1863-1952. He m 1970 Jane Margaret Christina Victoria b 1941 d of Capt Auberon Charles Alan Campbell DUCKWORTH DSO DSC RN 1907-87 scion of that gentry family of Dalingridge Place & Pityoulish and Christina Elsie WILLIAMS 1918-2004 of Hawkes Bay, NZ, and had two daus as above.
