Goldsmith/ Fleming engagement

Zac Goldsmith,  a newish Life Peer, is engaged as of September 2024 to socialite  Hermione "Hum" Fleming (b 1989) twin daughter of Roderick "Roddie"  Fleming by his wife Diana Julia Wake (of the Wake baronets).  This will be his third marriage, her first.

Goldsmith was previously married very young to Scheherazade Ventura (or Bentley) by whom he had three children. The couple divorced in 2010. Scheherazade was last reported living with Harry Potter film director Alfonso Cuaron. 

 Goldsmith left his first wife for Alice Rothschild whom he married in 2013. The couple separated last year,  date of divorce not known.  He had three more children with Alice. 

His brother Ben had married Alice's sister Kate and they divorced some years later. Their daughter Iris died tragically in a quad bike accident.  Ben is now married to the former Jemima Jones,  society and film production caterer, and has had several more children with her.

 Kate and Alice's brother James Rothschild  is married to American socialite Nicky Hilton and is heir presumptive to the Rothschild barony after their cousin Nathaniel. Their aunt Sabrina Guinness is married to playwright Tom Stoppard. 

Interesting ancestry and lots of aristocratic connections for this couple. 

Hum's maternal uncle the present baronet was once married to Lady Doune Ogilvy,  a bridesmaid to Pss Alexandra in 1963. Their son Dr. John Wake is a GP. Her mother and aunt,  two sisters, married two Fleming brothers. Ian Fleming is a distant great-uncle.  

Zac is the third son of Lady Annabel Goldsmith nee Vane-Tempest-Stewart (by her second marriage).  The present Marquess of Londonderry is his first cousin. His sister Jemima was once married to Pakistani ex-PM Imran Khan.by whom she had two sons.

I'll just also add that the bride-to-be's maternal grandfather was Sir Hereward Wake, 14th Bt.

It appears from the Sunday papers that they married yesterday at St James's church Longborough in the Cotswolds
