From the Telegraph of 20 March 2025: VERNON George Thornycroft died peacefully on 18th February 2025 in Berkeley, California, aged 89. Brother of Pam and James, and the late Dorothy, Jean, Hamo and Min.

He was s of Reginald Thornycroft VERNON 1892-1977 (gs of Sir William VERNON 1^st Bt 1835-1919) and Margarita Grace 1898-1989 d of Joseph CONSTANTINE 1856-1922 (shipowner) of Harlsey Hall, Northallerton, Yorks and Marion Loudon 1862-1957 d of William WHITESMITH 1817-91 and Elizabeth Millar LOUDON 1826-1913. He never married.

The death was also announced on the website of Harris Funeral Home in Berkeley, California, so likely he is being buried there.
