From the Telegraph and Times of 27 Aug 2022: STROYAN Colin Strathearn Ropner, on 20th August 2022, aged 95, passed away peacefully at home. Much loved husband of Caroline, father to Susie, Jo and Fred and to his many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was s of Ronald Strathearn STROYAN 1899-1957 scion of that Scots gentry family of Lanrick and Mary Enid ROPNER 1897-1985 scion of the ROPNER Bts cr 1904 . He m 1959 Caroline Jane BROWNLOW b 1938 scion of that Irish gentry family and of the LURGAN barons, ABERCORN dukes, MEATH earls etc etc, and had a son and two daus as above.

His death was announced on the same day as the engagement announcement of his granddaughter Poppy ROPNER b 1993 to Edward Morrison (see separate post of today’s date)
