Father begs runaway Constance Marten to go to police to ‘protect baby’
The father of an aristocrat who disappeared with her
boyfriend and their newborn baby has “beseeched” her to turn herself in.
Napier Marten, a film and music producer, urged his daughter
Constance, 35, known as Toots, to contact the police as soon as possible. She
has been missing with Mark Gordon, 48, a convicted sex offender, since the
beginning of the month.
He said her family were deeply concerned for her welfare and
that of her baby. Police believe the infant may have been born in a car only
two days before the couple abandoned the vehicle in flames on the M61
… Napier Marten, a former page to the late Queen, told The
Independent that he had known about Gordon’s criminal convictions for some time
and said the estrangement with his daughter had been “beyond painful”…
…[Constance] Marten grew up at Crichel House, the family
seat in Dorset where the 1996 film Emma, starring Gwyneth Paltrow, was
filmed.
She set up home with Gordon in 2016 and, although the
relationship created a rift with her family, she continued to have access to a
multimillion-pound trust fund…https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/father-begs-runaway-constance-marten-to-go-to-police-to-protect-baby-t8692mvnx
