A member posted some questions about the Poore Baronetcy under the "Honywood" topic, instead of creating a new thread. Those posts were:

"Is Sir Roger Ricardo Poore, 7th Bt. alive? Some pages give his year of death 2005. "

"His predecessor, Sir Herbert Edward Poore, 6th Baronet died in Argentine in Curuzú Cuatiá on 20 Apr 1997."

"DPB Online is still showing Sir Roger Ricardo Poore, 7th Bt (b. 1930) as alive.

He succeeded in 1899 [sic]."

I hope any further notes about this will be posted in this thread. :)

Coincidentally, a member of the Nobiliana Forum also posted a question related to the Poore Baronetcy.

"Lady Poore nee Frances Elizabeth Moody wife of Sir Edward Poore, 3rd Bt. was born on 5 February 1826 and died on 21 April but some sources give 1896, some 1926. So she was either 70 or 100."

I replied:

"Not listed as living in 1921 Debrett's. https://babel.hathitrust.org/cgi/pt?id=nyp.33433081835997&seq=717

or the 1902 Debrett's https://babel.hathitrust.org/cgi/pt?id=chi.39816807&seq=1495"

Does anyone have certain information about when she died?

Burke's is among the sources which say she died 1926, though Debrett's does not show her living even in the 1902 edition.

Thanks! And Seth at Nobiliana has replied that she died 21 April 1896, citing an obituary in The Times.

At some point someone entered the wrong date in Burke's, since they had it right in 1899.

The Kershaw list shows Sir Roger Poore, 7th Baronet as living.

shows that he died 2005.  The citation links to Who's Who, but is in the name of Robert Montagu Poore.  Not sure what's going on here.  Can anyone check Who's Who?

Who's Who shows him as living (ie no date of death)

wikipedia states that the supposed 8th Bt is Fernando "Nascienceno" Poore b 1964.  They seem to have taken the spelling of the middle name from thepeerage.com which cites peeragenews.blogspot.  Fernando did not appear in the last Burke's P&B but in Debrett's his middle name is "Nasionceno" which seems consistent with the spelling of the name by other members of the family

wikipedia then goes on to say that the heir apparent is Fernando's son Roberto.  He however does not appear in Debrett's which states that Fernando has a son Juan Ignacio b 1985.  It is uncertain whether he is in remainder as the date of Fernando's marriage to Maria del Carmen is not given

In Debrett's Fernando is indicated as the heir presumptive.  His birth year is the same as his parent's marriage year but one assumes Debrett's will have checked that Fernando's birth postdates the marriage.

DPB online states that Sir Roger Ricardo Poore succ "1900" but this should be "c 2004" or "by 2004" as per the last print edition.  DPB online also states Sir Roger m his brother's wife "1900" - again this an error for "19-" as per the print edition

The SCB website states the 6th Baronet died "c 2004" but Sir Roger, the putative 7th Bt has never proved his claim.
