From the Times of 2 July 2024: BLUNT Peter Scawen died peacefully on 23rd June 2024, aged 87, at home with his family. The funeral will take place at midday on Tuesday 23rd July at All Saints Church in Rhiwbina, Cardiff.

He was only s of Brig Jasper Scawen BLUNT 1898-1968 of Frittenden, Kent scion of that gentry family of Crabbet Park (see below) by his 28 April 1928 m (St Peter, Eaton Sq) to Doreen Marguerite 1903-78 d of Edward Percival PARSONS (stockbroker) 1867-1934 of Pont Street, SW1 by his 1 Dec 1898 m (St Peter, Eaton Sq) to Mabel Margaret c1871-1951 d of Col (Arthur) William MACNAGHTEN 1835-1919 (gs of Sir Francis MACNAGHTEN later WORKMAN-MACNAGHTE 1^st Bt 1763-1843) and Louisa c1842-1929 d of Nelson HOWARD. He m 1964 reg Q4 Kent Belinda Sara Usborne d of Kenyon James ARCHER 1908-97 of Pershore, Worcs by his c1934 m reg Q1 London to Margaret Frances Usborne MOORE 1908-84, and had issue:

1. Henry Scawen b c1967 reg Q1 Kingston-upon-Thames

2. Samuel Kenyon Scawen b 1969 reg Q2 Kent

3. Adam Peter Scawen b 1972 reg Q2 Kent
