From the Telegraph of 4 August 2015: THOMSON-MOORE Major Colijn Nelson Rodney IG (Retd), Barne, Clonmel, Co Tipperary, passed away at home on July 27th 2015, aged 73. Funeral Service on Wednesday August 19th 2015 at 2 p.m. in Old St Mary's Church, Clonmel, Co Tipperary. A Memorial Service will be held at Guards Chapel, London, in the Autumn.
He was s of Cmdr Rodney Charles Vesey THOMSON-MOORE DSC RN (1904-84) and Ailsa May (1908-90) d of N W NELSON of Wellington, New Zealand, and succeeded his father as head of that Irish gentry family of Clonmel, co Tipperary. He m 1970 Frances Jane Wentworth (b 1947) d of Brig Francis Norton Wentworth GORE CBE (1906-2003), scion of the ZOUCHE barons, and Else Gurli Astrid (1912-2004) d of Evald CHRISTENSEN of Copenhagen, and had a son and a dau, who are in line to the Zouche barony.
