From the Telegraph and Times of 15 Aug 2020: COTTON Robin died peacefully at home in Henley-on-Thames on 8th August 2020, aged 94. Devoted husband of the late Nicolette. Much loved father of Richard, Penelope, Philip and Caroline and 13 grandchildren. Family funeral on 7th September.
He was s of Col Vere Egerton COTTON (1888-1970, 2xgt gs of Sir Lynch Salusbury COTTON 4th Bt (c1705-1775) and scion of not descended from the COMBERMERE viscounts), and Elfreda Helen MOORE (1892-1992). He m 1954 Nicolette Anne (1929-2014) d of Capt Robert Lionel Brooke CUNLIFFE (1895-1990, gt gs of Sir Foster CUNLIFFE 3rd Bt (1755-1834)), and Barbara Eleanor COOPER (1900-70), and had two sons and two daus as above.
