The 27-year-old photographer and filmmaker - granddaughter of Teddy
Goldsmith, founder of The Ecologist magazine - had been working
closely with Doherty on the film about the controversial figure
notorious for his decadent lifestyle and relationship with supermodel
Kate Moss.

Robin's mother is Dido Whitehead, cousin of Jemima Khan and Zac
Goldsmith, and her father is Sixties film-maker Peter Whitehead, whose
former girlfriends included Bianca Jagger.
She was also the great-niece of billionaire financier Sir James
Goldsmith.
Last night her family issued a statement saying: 'Robin had an
exceptional capacity for compassion and for love both to her family
and close friends and to all those whom she touched.
'This was reflected in the depths and passion of her art. To lose her
so young and so far before her life's work was done is heartbreaking.
'We would now ask that the media respects our privacy while we try to
come to terms with our bereavement.'
An ambulance was called at 6pm on Sunday to the flat where Robin, one
of four sisters, was found dead.

Robin is one of Dido Goldsmith's four daughters by her marriage to
Peter Whitehead.
She was educated at the fee-paying Bishop Stopford school in Kettering
and went to a college in the Northampton town as well.
Friends remember her as a beautiful, slim blonde.
Her mother was due to fly to South Africa tomorrow for a two-month
trip. She spends most winters in the Cape where her own mother Jill,
who was formerly married to Teddy Goldsmith, has a home.
A close friend says: 'It has been a terrible few months for Dido
losing her father and now her daughter. All her children are
stunningly attractive.'
Last year Robin made a documentary about Doherty's band The Libertines
called The Road To Albion.

Whitehead and Dido went on to have four daughters: Charlene, known as
Charlie, 34, Robin, 27, Leila 26 - whose real name is Dora - and
Rosetta, 22. The three sisters other than Robin all share a house
together in Brighton.
Robin went to Abbotts Hills school, a private school for girls in
Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, but moved to the comprehensive
Kettering Girls' school in Northamptonshire for the sixth form.
Friends remember her as a 'free spirit', drawn like her father -
fatefully as it turns out - to the louche world of popular music and
some of its most seedy and controversial characters, most notably Pete
Doherty.
Family friends say that Robin and her sisters were 'irresistibly drawn
to rough trade'. 'When they all shared a house together there was
always a string of rather undesirably young men tramping through,'
said one.

The five children are Dido and Clio (by his first wife Jill, now
sister-in-law of Queen Margrethe II of Denmark), and three sons
apparently by his second wife Katherine or Kathy - Alexander,
Benedict, and Zeno.
The 10 grandchildren include - 1) Maxine Shorto, 2-5) the four
Whitebread girls (all by Dido), 6) Talita Puri Negri and 7) Ayesha
Shand (by Clio) and presumably three grandchildren by his sons.
