She was d of 16 Earl of DALHOUSIE 1914-99 and Margaret Elizabeth Mary 1914-97 d of Brig-Gen Archibald STIRLING 1867-1931 (s of Sir William STIRLING-MAXWELL 9 Bt 1818-78 and gs of 10 Earl of LEVEN 1785-1860, etc) & Hon Margaret Mary FRASER 1881-1972 d of 13 Lord LOVAT 1828-87 and Alice Mary WELD-BLUNDELL 1846-1938 scion of that gentry family (and gt gd of 17 Baron STOURTON 1752-1816, 2xgt gd of 5 Baron LANGDALE d 1777, etc). She m 1970 12 Earl of SCARBOROUGH and had three sons (incl present 13 Earl, her middle s Frederick d aged 1 day) and a dau.
She was a Lady of the Bedchamber to Queen ELIZABETH The Queen Mother until her death in 2002.
