From the Times of 10 March 2025: SUTHERLAND Ranald Iain. The Rt Hon Lord Sutherland, on 26th February 2025, beloved husband of Janice, dear father of Alan and Donald and grandfather of Callum and Alex. Funeral private at his own request.

Strictly speaking not a peer, but for the avoidance of doubt, he was appointed a Lord of Session in Scotland in 1985 and was appointed a Privy Coucillor in 2000, hence the Rt Hon rather than Hon prefix to his style. He was married with two sons as above.

Wikipedia is correct. His style is 'Lord' (ie not Baron) as a Lord of Session (or Senator of the College of Justice) in Scotland.

Merely as an aside regarding the Senators of the College of Justice being Lords of Sessions but not (on the whole) peers of the realm, since the UK Supreme Court was set up in 2009 we have the same system of members being styled "lord" or "lady" this or that, but they are not peers of the realm.  Whereas before all law lords were created life peers either under the Appellate Jurisdiction Act 1876 or the Life Peerages Act 1958, the former has seen no new creations since 2009 and the latter has only been used for Presidents of the Supreme Court (Lord Reed being created Lord Reed of Allermuir in 2020) and the Lord Chief Justice, of which there have been several creations in the past 15 years.
