_.The engagement was announced 2 October, 2012, between James Anthony Edward Rous (b 1972), scion of the Earls of Stradbroke (Peerage of the UK, cr 1821; Baronetcy cr 1660), son of the late Lt-Gen Hon Sir William Rous, KCB, by his wife the Hon Lady Rous (the former Judith Rosemary Persse), & Charlotte Patricia P. Hill (b 1985), daughter of Mr Matthew O.F. Hill by his former wife the former Penelope M.G. Duckham (b 1953).
James Rous is a nephew of the 6th Earl of Stradbroke.
