From the Telegraph of 29 May 2025: THORNTON Verity, died peacefully at home on Saturday 17th May, aged 87. Beloved wife for 65 years of the late Brian; mother of Guy, Kim, Ben, Giles, Jo and Sam; grandmother of Tom, Tara, Tilly, Mia, Atalanta, Anna, Ella, Marcus, Lily, Joshua and Freddie, great-grandmother of Otto, Oscar, Milo and Ludo. The Funeral will be held at St Mary's Church, Little Easton, on 27th June at 2.30 p.m. Donations to St Michael's Hospice, Hereford, please

She was d of Guy Gordon LAWRENCE c1909-64 by his 1934 m reg Q2 Surrey to Rhoda Evelyn PAYNE 1912-2000. She m 1959 Brian Maurice 1937-2024 s of Maj Kenneth Marcus THORNTON 1908-98 and Angela Mariel Baliol 1911-2006 d of Lt-Col Hon Maurice Vyner Baliol BRETT 1882-1934 (s of 2^nd Viscount ESHER GCB GCVO 1852-1930) and Florence Harriet Zena DONES 1886-1975, and had five sons and a dau as above.
