From the Telegraph of 24 Feb 2026: HOPKINSON-WOOLLEY Robert Alexander died peacefully aged 91 on 20th February with his beloved wife Margaret by his side. Much loved father of Charles, James, Richard and Georgiana and grandfather to Edward, Digby, Molly, Lottie, Alice, Dulcie and George. Private cremation. Thanksgiving service to be arranged. No flowers.
He was s of Rev Alfred Russell WOOLLEY 1899-1986 of Ventnor, Isle of Wight by his 12 Aug 1933 m (St Mary the Great, Cambridge) to Lina (Molly) Mariana 1908- d of Col Bertram HOPKINSON CMG RAF 1874-1918 (ODNB) and Mariana Dulce SIEMENS 1882-1974 scion of the eponymous German electrical engineering company. He m 1962 Margaret Georgiana b 1935 d of Stephen Herbert TWINING MBE 1895-1961 (s of Rev William Henry Greaves TWINING 1853-1932 of the eponymous tea makers, who was also f of the LP Baron TWINING 1899-1967) and Georgiana Elizabeth 1896-1981 d of Francis GASKELL 1850-1905 by his 24 July 1895 m (All Souls, St Marylebone) to as her 1 h Ada Elizabeth WIGAN 1865-1946 (Mrs William Llewellin), and had three sons and a dau.
