Fane Trefusis and Countess Caroline zu Solms-Sonnenwalde - The engagement is announced between Edward, eldest son of the Hon Charles and Mrs Fane Trefusis, of Heanton Satchville, Devon, and Caroline, daughter of the late Count Alfred zu Solms-Sonnenwalde and of Countess Christine zu Solms-Sonnenwalde, of Wurschen, Germany.

Edward Charles Rolle b 1994 eldest s of Hon Charles Patrick Rolle FANE TREFUSIS b 1962 (s&ha of 22nd Baron CLINTON b 1934) and Rosanna E b 1963 d of Alexander John Rennie IZAT and Frederika A McNEIL b 1937.

Countess Caroline Anne Amalia b 1994 d of Count Alfred zu SOLMS-SONNENWALDE 1932-92 (5xgt gs of 1st Earl of PORTLAND 1649-1709 f of 1st Duke of PORTLAND 1682-1726) and Christine HüSMERT.
