From the Telegraph of 20 October 2018: SLIM The Viscountess Slim, “Buffy” Elisabeth Joan (née Spinney), died at home in Chelsea on 16th October 2018 surrounded by her family. Beloved wife of John. Much loved mother of Mark, Hugo and Mary Ann and adored grandmother of Jessica, Rufus, Solomon, Billy and Kit. The Funeral will be held at Chelsea Old Church at 12 noon on Tuesday 30th October. All welcome. No flowers please.
She was d of Arthor Rawdon SPINNEY CBE (1889-1973) of Cyprus and Cecil Joan (1896-1991) d of Andrew GLEGG. She m 1958 the 2nd Viscount SLIM (b 1927) and had two sons (Hon Mark William Rawdon SLIM (b 1960), who is m with three sons and Hon Hugo John Robertson SLIM (b 1961), who is m with a son and a dau), and a dau (Hon Mary Ann SLIM b 1964).
