The prospective bridegroom is a step-second cousin of the American actress and comedienne, Jennifer Audrey COOLIDGE (born 28 VIII 1961). They are both great-grandchildren of John Templeman COOLIDGE (1 I 1856 - 16 XI 1945), she via his first wife (married 16 IX 1879), Katherine Scollay PARKMAN (22 VIII 1858 - 12 II 1900), and he via his second wife (married 3 IX 1913), Mary Abigail ("Gail") PARSONS (31 V 1878 - 9 X 1964).
Henry Parsons ("Harry") COOLIDGE (29 VIII 1914 - 9 I 1999), the prospective bridegroom's maternal grandfather, was the elder surviving son of the aforesaid John Coolidge and his second wife. In 1927, with his mother, he visited the authoress (Helen) Beatrix POTTER (Mrs HEELIS; 28 VII 1866 - 22 XII 1943) at her home, and she subsequently wrote a story, The Fairy Caravan, for him.
Harry Coolidge was an eighth cousin of (John) Calvin COOLIDGE (4 VII 1872 - 5 I 1933), the 30th President of the USA. Less obviously, he was also an eighth cousin of William Howard TAFT (15 IX 1857 - 8 III 1930), the 27th President, a ninth cousin once removed upwards of George Herbert Walker BUSH (12 VI 1924 - 30 XI 2018), the 41st President, and a ninth cousin twice removed upwards of that President's son, George Walker BUSH (born 6 VII 1946), the 43rd President.
