From the Telegraph of 1 Aug 2026: WALLOP The Hon Nicholas Valoynes Bermingham, died peacefully at home aged 80 on 27th July. Beloved husband of Lavinia, loving father of Victoria and Harry and fond grandfather to his seven grandchildren. Funeral at 11 a.m. on Monday 17th August 2026 at Chelsea Old Church followed by a private family committal. No flowers please.

He was s of 9 Earl of PORTSMOUTH 1898-1984 and his 2 w Bridget Cory (5 Nov)1911-79 d of Capt Patrick Bermingham CROHAN RN 1882-1953 of Owlpen Old Manor, Uley, Glos by his 10 Jan 1911 m (St Peter, Pimlico) to Edith Barbara 1884-[1973] d of Richard Wallis CORY (barrister) 1854-1926 and Kate Yolland RUNDLE 1856-1948. He m 1969 Lavinia Nika Jane b March 1948 only child of David KARMEL CBE QC 1907-82 (Who’s Who) and as her 2 h Barbara Jessie 1909-93 (prev Mrs Edward Behrens) d of Sir Montague Maurice BURTON 1885-1952 (Who’s Who and Kelly’s 1950) and Sophia Amelia 1887-1957 d of Maurice MARKS of Worksop, Notts, and had a son and a dau as above.
