From the Telegraph of 29 March 2021: FEARNLEY-WHITTINGSTALL - George died peacefully on 15 March 2021, aged 87, after a long illness bravely borne. Dearly beloved husband of Gail. Adored father and grandfather. A private funeral was held on 26 March 2021 at St George's Church, King's Stanley.
He was s of Lt-Col William Arthur FEARNLEY-WHITTINGSTAL TD 1903-59 scion of that gentry family f/o Watford and Hawkswick, and Margaret Nancy 1907-79 d of Allan Lachlan Morphew 1872-1957 of Style Acre, Wallingford and Mary Isabella NASH 1874-1954. He m 1960 [?as his 1st w] Daphne Maureen b 1940 reg Q2 Glos d of Dr Cyril de Vere SHORTT 1908-97 of Overbrook, Winchcombe, Glos by his 1936 m to Ethna Eirene COLLINS 1911-97, and had three daus.
