From the Telegraph of 30 Oct 2025: LONGFIELD Jenny, died on 20th October aged 85. Beloved wife to Desmond for 66 years. Adored mother, grandmother and recently great-grandmother. Funeral at St Mary's Church, Redlynch, Wiltshire on 12th November at 12 noon. No flowers please. Donations welcomed to Cancer Research UK and/or Riding for the Disabled.

She was d of Clement William Robert SPENCER-THOMAS 1905-89 (farmer) of Upper Honeydon, Bedford and Betty POTTER 1914-2010. She m 1959 Brig Desmond Richard Henry b 1931 s of Col Richard James LONGFIELD 1901-87 scion of that Irish gentry family and Charlotte Mary 1903-2002 d of Brig-Gen Sir Bertram Percy PORTAL KCB DSO 1866-1949 (yst s of Sir Wyndham Spencer PORTAL 1^st Bt 1822-1905) and Hon Margaret Louisa LITTLETON 1869-1930 d of 3^rd Baron HATHERTON 1842-1930 and his wife a d of Sir Charles Robert ROWLEY 4^th Bt 1800-88, and had a son and three daus.
