The Official Roll of the Baronetage now shows the baronetcy Shiffner of Coombe Place (1818) as vacant

The Wikipedia entry for the Baronets is already updated to refer to the 8th Baronet's death which from the "View History" page reveals that he died on 22 August 2018 in Valencia, Spain.  The 8th Baronet is survived by his daughters

There is some information here - http://www.shiffner.net/Baronets.html - with photo of the 8th Baronet with his 3rd wife and details of the court case in 1961 when he was acquitted of setting fire to the offices of the Anti-Apartheid Movement.  There is also a photo of the 9th Baronet with his mother.

The new Baronet is a kinsman of the 8th Baronet, Sir Michael George Edward Shiffner b 1963 (div with 2 daughters) - a publican?

The new heir is his cousin Rear Adm John Robert (Robin) Shiffner CB b 1941 m with 2 sons b 1971 and 1975 but no marriages recorded for them in latest Debretts
