From the Telegraph of 15 Oct 2025: MELVILLE Edward Charles (Edinburgh, formerly Holydean). Peacefully at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary on 1st October 2025, Charles, aged 85 years, dearly beloved husband of Alison, dear father, father-in-law and grandfather. Funeral Service at Christ Church, Holy Corner, Edinburgh on Friday 24th October at 11 a.m., followed by a reception at the Braid Hills Hotel, all friends are welcome to attend both. Cremation thereafter private. Family flowers only please.

He was s of Lt-Col Christian Landale MELVILLE 1913-84 and as her 1^st h Rosemary (Mrs William ROPER-CALBECK) 1916-2017 d of Charles Kenneth SCRYMGEOUR-WEDDERBURN 1887-1963 (yr s of de jure 9^th Earl of DUNDEE 1840-1914) and Gertrude Louisa Marie c1894-1957 d of James Carnegie WEMYSS . He m 1966 Alison Sinclair d of Thomas Sinclair FRASER, and had a son and a dau:
