As a Chelsea supporter I must ask whether anyone knows of any relationship between his mother and Frank Lampard.

Free BMD, which is incomplete, currently has 3,247 birth records for the Lampard surname, so it is relatively common. While a relationship may exist, the odds therefore appear to be against it.
