He was s of Maj John Edward SEYMOUR (1915-72), descended from 1st Marquess of HERTFORD (1718-94) and scion of numerous other families of whom we treat, and Elizabeth Norah (1915-2002) d of Adm Hon Sir Hubert George BRAND (1870-1955, s of 2nd Viscount HAMPDEN (1841-1906) and scion of the DEVONSHIRE dukes, HAREWOOD earls etc etc) and Norah Conyngham GREENE (1889-1924), scion of the Irish gentry family of that name and gd of 5th Earl of COURTOWN (1823-1914) and scion of the BUCCLEUCH dukes and many other families of whom we treat. He m 1st 1969 (div 1979) Elizabeth Holdsworth (b 1947) d of Maj Francis Holdsworth HUNT (1914-2011) and Elizabeth Rosalind WELD FORESTER (b 1923), scion of the FORESTER barons, 1st & last Marquess of LINCOLNSHIRE (1843-1928) and many other families of whom we treat, and had a son and a dau. He m 2nd 1981 Diana Elizabeth (b 1945) d of Michael Edward GIBB (1914-70) and Ursula Mary GIBBS (1919-2000), scion of (not descended from) the ALDENHAM barons and scion of the BOLINGBROKE viscounts, MEATH earls etc, and had a further dau.
