I am researching ducal connections and their ties to the Royal Family. (As of now, some of my research goes back to the time of Edward III.)

So far, the only one I can't find a birth tie for is the Duchess of Inverness.  (Her father was the 2nd Earl of Arran.)  The only RF connection I can find for her is her husband, the Duke of Sussex.

Is there a RF birth tie for her?  Are there any other Dukes/Duchess (by birth) from any time without a birth RF tie?

Thanks.

Brooke

Paul, thanks for your help.

I checked her ancestry and found nothing .  I just wanted to make sure I didn't miss anything.

Thanks again.

Gawin, thank you so much.  I couldn't find anything, so this really is important.

In looking at the names on the chart, I realized some of them were familiar.  Catherine Knollys, the Duchess' 5x great grandmother, was the younger sister of Lettice Knollys.  Lettice Knollys later married the 2nd Viscount Hereford, and they were the 3x great-grandparents of the 1st Duke of Manchester.

Thanks again.

Brooke
