Burke's Landed Gentry of Scotland (p48) doesn't name Daniel or his father in the genealogy they publish. Also is Anthony FOYLE, the Anthony George Eugen FOYLE (b 1950) mentioned in the FOYLE of Beeleigh Abbey gentry family in BLG1972 (p352)?

Anthony George Eugene FOYLE (per company records, born on 24 June 1950), of that landed gentry and bookshop-owning family, is, indeed, the father of Serena - see https://www.pressreader.com/uk/daily-mail/20121205/282149288616720.

This branch of the Balfour family, of Balgonie and Newton Don, last appeared in Burke's Landed Gentry in the 1952 edition. They are scions of, but not descended from, the Earls of Balfour, being descended from Charles BALFOUR (27 VIII 1823 - 5 VII 1872), younger brother of James Maitland BALFOUR (5 I 1820 - 23 II 1856), whose eldest son was the 1st Earl. Nick Kingsley provides an updated genealogy for them on his website at https://landedfamilies.blogspot.com/2018/11/351-balfour-of-whittingehame-earls-of.html.
