From the Telegraph of 3 June 2023: WAILES-FAIRBAIRN Wanda Renée. Gifted linguist and translator. Much loved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to many. Died peacefully at home on 17th May 2023 - Norway’s National day of celebration, aged 93 years. Private family funeral in Melrose. A Thanksgiving Service will be held at St Mary’s Church, Holy Island on Thursday 7th September at 1 p.m.

She was d of Lt-Col Arthur William Hay CONYERS-BAKER 1892-1948 by his 5 Aug 1920 m (Times 31 July) to Winifred L CASTBERG. She m 1956 Andrew George b 1927 s of Capt Neville William Fairbairn WAILES-FAIRBAIRN 1892-1939 (who he succ as) head of that gentry family of Berrington House, and Margaretta d 1970 d of George Kingston Hall BRUTTON of Hong Kong, and had two sons and three dau.
