The engagement was announced 16 April, 2009, between Charles D. Leigh-
Pemberton, scion of that LG family (and nephew of the life peer Baron
Kingsdown, KG, PC) son of Nigel Leigh- Pemberton (b 1929), of
Barfrestone, Kent, and Mrs Leigh-Pemberton, and Saskia Anne Stirling-
Aird (b 6 Aug 1977), scion of the LG family of Stirling-Aird of
Kippendavie (descended from Stirling of Keir), 2nd daughter of Patrick
Kenneth Stirling-Aird (b 10 Aug 1943), of Dunblane, Perthshire, by his
wife the former Elizabeth Susan Wakeham.
