According to the Daily Mail, Hon Eliza Pearson (b. 1988) marries on 22
May at St Mary's Church, Easebourne, near Midhurst, West Sussex, which
is where the large Cowdray Park estate is. Her fiance Ned Abel Smith
(b ca 1978), nephew maternally of Sir Richard Branson of the Virgin
empire, has reportedly changed his name by deed poll to RocknRoll.
Is he now Ned RocknRoll?

The fiance is Ned Abel Smith, son of Robert Ralph Abel Smith
(descended from the 2nd Baron Raglan) by his former wife Lindy
Brockway, alias Lindi Branson, a sister of Sir Richard Branson.

Here once again is the older article about their engagement:

Photos of the happy bride-to-be with both articles.

On 3 September 2008, Michael Rhodes reported:
The engagement was announced 3 September, 2008 between Ned Abel
Smith,
scion of that LG family, eldest son of Robert Abel Smith, of
Througham
Slad, Gloucestershire, and Lindy Brockway, of Parsons Green, London,
and the Hon Eliza Anne Venetia Pearson (b 1988), eldest daughter of
the 4th Viscount Cowdray (b 17 Jun 1944), of Cowdray Park, West
Sussex, by his 2nd wife the former Marina Rose Cordle (descended from
the Viscounts Powerscourt).

Michael's original posting of 3 Sept 08 included a reply from me
giving Ned's date of birth as 24 June 1978 (from birth notice in
Times
26 June 1978) and also pointed out he's The Queen's 5th cousin once
removed, through their common descent from
Abel Smith, the banker of Nottingham.
I've searched the London Gazette's deed poll notices for the last
three years and can find no official confirmation of a change of name
for Ned, so maybe journalistic invention (not unknown!) or light
hearted fun on the groom's part? The other explanation is that it has
happened and the notice has yet to appear in the LG (there's often a
time lag for such notices). Ned's one month short of being 10 years
his bride's senior. The latter will be 21 just nine days after her
nuptials - no doubt providing another excuse for a good party!

Eliza Pearson is a daughter of a 6th cousin of Ned Abel Smith. Indeed,
Charles Noel Somerset, Duke of Beaufort and Elizabeth Berkeley are at
the same time
◦ancestors of the 7th generation of Ned Abel Smith
◦ancestors of the 8th generation of Eliza Pearson
