From the Times of 14 Nov 2024: LYCETT GREEN David Petroc, died peacefully on 11th November 2024, aged 49. Artist and gentleman. Beloved son of Rupert and Candida, brother of Lucy, Imogen, Endellion and John. Uncle of Jasmine, Archie, Rom, Jack, Grace, Puck, Ivo and Felix.

He was s of Rupert William LYCETT GREEN b 1938 (gs of Sir Edward LYCETT GREEN 2^nd Bt 1860-1940) and Candida Rose 1942-2014 d of the Poet Laureate Sir John BETJEMAN 1906-84 and Hon Penelope Valentine Hester CHETWODE 1910-86 d of FM 1^st Baron CHETWODE 1869-1950 and Alice Hester Camilla 1871-1946 d of Col Hon Richard Southwell George STAPLETON-COTTON 1849-1925 (s of 2^nd Viscount COMBERMERE 1818-91) and Hon Jane Charlotte METHUEN 1847-1924 d of 2^nd Baron METHUEN 1818-91. He never married.

Rupert William LYCETT GREEN is the hp to his nephew, Sir Edward LYCETT GREEN, 6th Bt.

Rupert's  younger son,  John Peregrine LYCETT GREEN (b. 1978), now is second in the line of succession behind his father.

The children mentioned in the Times article, as the nieces and nephews of the late David, are all from his 3 sisters, so apparently, John (shown in the last print edition of DB as being unmarried) has no children.

A check of DPB Online shows that John is the last male in the line of succession to the baronetcy.
