The new Baron's heir presumptive is then his uncle Hon Anthony Cecil
(b.1947) father of two sons and one daughter by his second wife
http://thepeerage.com/p6471.htm#i64707

The elder son Henry (b 1976) is married and has a daughter born 2008
http://thepeerage.com/p674.htm#i6733

The next heir is his younger brother Thomas (b. 1981)

The next heirs are descended from the third Baron's yr brother (ka) by
his wife Rohays Burnett of Lays.
He left four sons, of whom the eldest has two sons
http://thepeerage.com/p6475.htm#i64743
The second of these four sons is James Burnett of Leys married to a
sister of the Duchesses of Abercorn and Westminster., and has two sons
and a daughter
The third and fourth sons (the latter decd 2009) were prominent in
horseracing; the elder Henry Cecil has two sons and a daughter from
two broken marriages, and the late youngest son David Cecil had two
sons by his first wife a daughter of Lord Rowallan.

There are several additional heirs male descended from Baroness
Amherst of Hackney (the second holder of the title) and her husband
Lord William Cecil, himself a son of the 3rd Marquess of Exeter.

And of course, all these male heirs are in remainder to that
marquessate. The present Marquess (9th holder) has one son Lord
Burghley who has an only daughter b 2001, and the next heir is
presumably Lord Amherst of Hackney. Another line has died out, which
was descended from a yr brother of the 4th Marquess (and second son of
the 3rd Marquess) who was senior to Lord William Cecil above.

I'm confused. According to the latest Debrett's (2008, page P35) the
new Baron has an ha, his son Jack William Amherst Cecil b 13 July
2001, and an older dau. Amber Mary Amherst Cecil b 1999.
