ELLIOT Faith Robertson (Edinburgh) 16/09/1934 - 23/10/2025
Daughter of the late Langton Robertson of Struan, 22nd Chief of
Clan Donnachiadh, passed away peacefully, aged of 91, at the Royal Infirmary
Edinburgh, in the presence of her family. Faith, widow of her beloved Robert Elliot, is survived by her
brother Gilbert, nephew Alasdair and nieces Catriona and Ellena.
The funeral service will be held at St Cuthbert's, Colinton, Edinburgh, at 1.30
pm, on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, with a family only cremation service to
follow.
Faith has requested no flowers but any donations to be given to Chest, Heart
& Stroke Scotland or the Salvation Army.

She was the dau of Langton George Duncan Haldane ROBERTSON OF STRUAN (1898-23 Aug 1983 in Jamaica), sometime Head of the Scots gentry family Robertson of Struan - BLG 1972 says he was the 23rd Chief (the death notice says 22nd and the Clan website also says 22nd) of Clan Donnachaidh, 27th of Struan and styled Struan Robertson. He matriculated arms of ROBERTSON of Struan as Chief of Clan Donnachaidh 2 July 1954 with Lyon Court's recognition of his son and heir and heirs thereafter as ROBERTSON of Drumachuine, and (m 1927) Laure Constance LINDO.
BLG1972 says she was lecturer in sociology, Lanchester Polytechnic from 1970. She m 1976 (regd Rannoch and Foss) Robert Chesters ELLIOT (d 2013 aged 72 regd Edinburgh, Central) and appears to have had no issue.

The current chief - her brother Gilbert - Alexander Gilbert Haldane Robertson of Struan 23rd Chief of Clan Donnachaidh. He appears to style himself "of Struan" rather than "of Drumachuine" though BLG Scotland 2010 says "of Drumachuine" but they also call him the 24th Chief.
