Giles Holland-Martin, who died at his home in the USA, 4 May, 2008,
was a scion of the LG family of Overbury Court, Tewkesbury. He was a
son of the late Thurstan Holland-Martin and the late Mrs Peter
Higgins. Service of Thanksgiving to be held later at St Faith's
Church, Overbury.

Giles Thurstan HOLLAND-MARTIN, born 1955, was younger son of Richard
Thurstan HOLLAND-MARTIN (died 1968). by his wife (md 1951, div 1966)
Ann Diana France Ayesha CAPEL, born 1919 (d between 1993 and 2008),
who md 1stly 1940 (div 1951), as 1st wife, George Reginald WARD, 1st
Viscount Ward of Witley (cr 1960) (born 1907, died 1988); issue 1 son
(dsp unm 1983) and 1 daughter (sp); md 2ndly married 2nd, 1951 (div
1966), Richard Thurstan HOLLAND-MARTIN (died 1968), issue 2 sons. She
md 3rdly Peter Higgins, and was still living in 1993.

The late Giles was thus a half-cousin of the late Earl of Westmorland
(father of the present Earl and his brother and heir presumptive), a
grandson of Diana, Countess of Westmorland (1893-??), born Hon Diana
Lister, and great-grandson of Thomas Lister, 4th and last Baron
Ribblesdale (1854-1925) known as "The Ancestor" for his aristocratic
mien in John Singer Sargent's portrait.

[Description]
Thomas Lister (1854 - 1925), 4th Baron Ribblesdale, is shown in
hunting clothes. He was Master of the Buckhounds from 1892-95 and from
1896 to 1907 he was a Liberal whip in the House of Lords. He was a
Trustee of the National Gallery from 1909 until his death.
