HEWETT, Neale John Patrick. Died peacefully at Palms Lifecare, Pukekohe on Friday 29 May 2026. Born 5 February 1931 in Wellington India to Thecla and Neale Hewett. Educated in India and at Ampleforth College, York. Sergeant in the King's African Rifles; awarded the British Empire Medal. Beloved oblate to Tyburn Monastery, Bombay. Loving father of Bernard, Felicity, Anita and Matthew and much loved grandfather of Sylvie, Meera, Cameron, Jake, and Neale. Funeral will be held at Tyburn Monastery, Ngakuru on Thursday 4 June 2026 at 10am. A Celebration of Life will be held for Patrick life at Tyburn Monastery, Bombay on Saturday 13 June 2026 at 1pm. May God greatly reward Patrick for his kindness and generosity and speedily admit him to the happiness of being with God forever in Heaven.
He was the son of Neale Brind Stuart HEWETT (1906-2005) scion of the Hewett Baronets (cr 1813) being descended from the 2nd son of the 2nd Bt, and (m 1930) Thecla Edana DAVIS (d 1993). He m 1960 (annulled) Felicity Anne KERBY and had issue as above
