Peacefully passed away on 6th December 2024 at Brewery House, Southstoke, Bath BA2 7DL aged 100 & 8 months. Much loved Husband to Ursula, will be greatly missed by all his family and all who knew him and his garden, which he loved [….]

He m 1974 (as his 2nd w and her 2nd h) Ursula Mary nee FOX-PITT b 1935 (scion of the Fox-Pitt-Rivers of Hinton St Mary and Tollard Royal gentry family (BLG1972)).  Mrs Brooke's 1st h (m 1956, div 1973) was (as his 1st w) Hon Thomas Arthur PONSONBY (1930-1990) who later (1976) succeeded as the 3rd Baron Ponsonby of Shulbrede. Mr Brooke was therefore the stepfather of the present 4th Baron.
