Per company records, the late Mr Ryder's wife, Mrs Philippa Mary Ryder, was formerly a director of a company of which her younger son is also a director. However, those records show her date of birth as 7 July 1945, which must surely be wrong, as this would have made her too young to be married in 1960. I suspect that the day and month of her birth may be correctly shown on those records, but it is clear from Free BMD that her birth was registered in Poole in Q3 1942, mother's maiden name McBride.

Dr Alan Maitland CUNNINGHAM (21 II 1902 - 12 I 1986) was married to Norah Rowan McBRIDE (1901 - c.1994/5) on 21 October 1933. A film of their wedding day can be found on their son's facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/andrew.cunningham.5667/videos/2366741533405972/.

Dr Cunningham was the son of the Rev Philip CUNNINGHAM (1866 - 9 II 1942) and his wife (married 4 X 1898), Frances Gertrude FAIRBAIRN (7 IX 1865 - 15 II 1951), the eldest daughter of the Rev Adam Henderson FAIRBAIRN (16 X 1836 - 21 VII 1888) and his wife (married 7 II 1864), Anna Gertrude FULLER MAITLAND (27 II 1844 - 16 V 1929).

The Rev Adam Fairbairn was the seventh and youngest son of Sir William FAIRBAIRN, 1st Bt, LLD, FRS (19 II 1789 - 18 VIII 1874) and his wife (married 16 VI 1816), Dorothy MARR (died 11 I 1882, aged 90). Mr Fairbairn's sister Anne FAIRBAIRN (c.1817 - 26 V 1894) was the wife (married 1 IX 1841) of John Frederic LA TROBE-BATEMAN, FRS (30 V 1810  - 10 VI 1889), of that family, which, per Burke's Family Index, last appeared in Burke's Landed Gentry in the 1921 edition; they were the great-great grandparents of Diana Mary LA TROBE-BATEMAN (1936 - 1 XII 2016), who was the wife (married 1956) of (John) Michael BEAUMONT, OBE (20 XII 1927 - 3 VII 2016), Seigneur of Sark, 1974-2016.

Anna Gertrude Fuller Maitland was the eldest daughter of Maj Thomas FULLER MAITLAND (16 VII 1817 - 4 V 1893) and his wife (married 9 V 1842), Anna Stephens VALPY. Maj Fuller Maitland was himself the son of Ebenezer MAITLAND, DL, FRS (23 IV 1780 - 1 XI 1858), MP (Tory) for Lostwithiel, 1807-12, for Wallingford, 1812-20 and for Chippenham, 1826-30, whose name was changed to FULLER MAITLAND by Royal Licence on 20 November 1807. He had married Bethia ELLIS (6 VIII 1781 - 21 VIII 1865), granddaughter maternally of William FULLER (c.1705/6 - 2 III 1800), on 9 December 1800.

Ebenezer Fuller Maitland was a great-grandson of John MAITLAND (c.1676 - 1755), of that landed gentry family of Cumstoun and Dundrennan, and his wife (married 1704), Margaret GORDON.
