Presumably this is Charles Martin Allen-Jones (b. 1939), of Beacon House, Arkesden, solicitor and chairman of London law firm Linklaters in the 1990s.

A 2016 obituary for a Caroline Allen-Jones (b. c. 1941), funeral service at Arkesden, mentions husband Charles, and electoral roll corroborates her husband's middle initial as 'M', so almost definitely the same person. The obituary lists her as mother of 'Christof, Nicky and Anna', and grandmother to 'Mungo, Freddie, Cosi and Ludo'.

C. M. Allen-Jones s. of John Ernest Allen(-)Jones (1909-1999) of Uttlesford, Essex, educ. Rugby, Worcester Coll. Oxon. (M.A.), solicitor, Air Vice-Marshal, director of legal services, R.A.F. 1961-70, C.B.E. (1966) by his wife Margaret Ena (née Rix), physiotherapist; they also had two daughters, Rosamund Mary (b. 1944) and Susan Elizabeth (b. 1947), both m. and had issue.

J. E. Allen(-)Jones s. of Rev. John Allen Jones (1865-), B.A., vicar of Llanybodwel, Oswestry, Salop. 1899-[1937? If so, possibly the year of his death], formerly of Manchester, by his wife Millie Adela (née Oppenheim). According to different census records, John Allen Jones was born at New Quay, Cardiganshire, or at Llanllwchairn, Powys; earlier census records seem to indicate his father to be John Jones (1840-), of Gartheli, Cardiganshire, a farmer, by his wife Mary- I can't explain the possible discrepancies in location re: his son's birth, so consider this a tentative conclusion. Another less-than-solid conclusion is that John Jones was s. of Thomas Jones, of Nantcwnlle, Cardiganshire, a miller, and his wife Mary.
