From the Telegraph of 17 September 2016: BALLANCE Susan Angela (née Garnons Williams), died peacefully on 12th September 2016, aged 82. Beloved wife, mother and grandmother, will be much missed by family and friends. Funeral at Bettws Penpont Church, Brecon on Friday 23rd September at 11 a.m., followed by private cremation. Donations may be given to Bettws Penpont Church c/o Funeral Director Peter Evans, Brookfield, Groesffordd, Brecon.
She was d of Capt Nevill Glennie GARNONS WILLIAMS MBE CStJ RN (1899-1983), who she succ as head of that gentry family of Abercamlais, and Violet (1899-1979) d of Berthold George TOURS CMG (1871-1944) and Ada Theophila HARWOOD (1869-1956), scion of that gentry family of Woodhouse. She m 1957 Maj (John) Christopher Reaveley s of Rear Adm Frank Arthur BALLANCE CB DSO (1902-78) of Petersfield, Hampshire and his 1st w Marie Arundell MAITLAND (1903-72), and had a son and a dau (both adopted).
