After a failed relationship with Claire Kavanagh, who bore him a son
out of wedlock (born March 2005), the nearly-60-year-old aristocrat
has wed long-time girlfriend Fiona Hanbury, Australian-born mother of
three. I assume that Hanbury was the name of her first husband. Age
not known. The civil ceremony took place at Haldon Belvedere, a folly
near Exeter, followed by a reception at which William Cash and his
wife Vanessa Neumann (formerly linked to Mick Jagger and William
Stirling, nephew of Lady Salisbury) were present. The newly-weds are
off on honeymoon in Biarritz.

No mention on which family members were present.

Three weeks ago, Lord Dartmouth was elected an MEP for the UKIP. Now,
he has married. Any other dramatic news in store...?

The report on the son's birth;

Another Spencer-Murdoch connection -

The new countess is former wife of Matt Handbury, nephew of Rupert
Murdoch. Note that the name is HanDbury, not Hanbury. No connection
to the LG family, or to the new Marchioness of Cholmondeley.
According to the article, Lady Dartmouth was born in Melbourne, no
maiden name given, and was divorced some seven years ago (selling the
marital home seven years ago). She is a former Aussie model,
following in the footsteps of Fiona Holt now Lady Chetwode, and
Patricia "Bambi" Tuckwell, now Lady Harewood.

As for that Spencer-Murdoch connection

1. Earl Spencer's second wife Caroline "Pidge" (now divorced) is the
former wife of Matthew Freud, now 2nd husband of Elisabeth Murdoch,
2nd daughter of Rupert Murdoch, and only dau by his 2nd wife Anna.

2. The Earl of Dartmouth was stepbrother to Earl Spencer and his three
sisters, via his mother Raine (dubbed "Acid Raine" by her far-from-
loving stepchildren). He has now married Fiona Handbury, former wife
of Matt Handbury, nephew of Rupert Murdoch.

I see the Mail article also carries the story of the end of the 2007
marriage of Chloe Jane nee Stevens (b 1984, 1st Viscount Greenwood’s
gt gdau and, of course, dau of the late Sir Jocelyn Stevens) to Louis
Buckworth.

Their engagement was posted by Michael at the beginning of 2007:

Unfortunately, that is old news for Daily Mail readers - the
marriage's collapse was noticed several weeks back. Through her
mother, Chloe is also descended from the Sheffield baronets.

Talking of more gossip, Nat Rothschild (once divorced heir of Lord
Rothschild) is now dating Florence von Preussen, Guinness heiress and
descendant of the Kaiser. She was formerly with Hon. Jake Astor, yr
son of Viscount Astor and half-brother of Samantha Cameron nee
Sheffield.

And news on James Gaggero, whose wife Arabella Colvin was
granddaughter of Lord Cayzer.

Richard Kay columns are always a revelation.

Nathaniel Rothschild is a 10th cousin of Florence, Prinzessin von
Preußen.

Indeed, James Douglas, Earl of Queensberry and Margaret Stewart are at
the same time
ancestors of the 11th generation of Florence, Prinzessin von Preußen

Her maiden name was apparently Campbell <http://www.timesonline.co.uk/

A photo of the couple, taken at Dartmouth College when they in April
2009 (only the third such visit taken by an Earl of Dartmouth)
