From the Times of 11 Oct 2022: BANERJI Ranjit. Passed away peacefully at home on 29th September, surrounded by his wife and daughters after a long illness. Tea planter, dairy farmer, economist, privatisation consultant, philosopher and scholar — but above all he was, and always will be, Sara’s beloved husband, and our hugely loved Dad, father-in-law, Grandad and Great-Grandad. Funeral service to take place at Oxford Crematorium, Bayswater Road, Oxford... at 3.30pm on Tuesday 25th October, followed by a reception at the Victoria Arms, Marston. No flowers please, but donations, if desired, to WaterAid...
He m 1957 Sara Ann b 1932 d of Sir Basil Antony Trevor MOSTYN 13th Bt 1902-56 and Anita Mary 1907-93 d of Lt-Col Rowland Charles FEILDING 1871-1945 (gs of 7th Earl of DENBIGH 1796-1865) and Edith Mary 1879-1961 d of Frederick Annesley STAPLETON-BRETHERTON 1841-1919 sometime head of that gentry family of Rainhill and Hon Isabella Mary PETRE 1849-1919 (d of 12th Baron PETRE 1817-84), and had three daus.
