He was s of Cyril Alfred ROBERTS CBE 1908-88 (Who’s Who) and Christine Annabel 1908-96 d of Hon Edward Christian KITSON 1873-1922 (s of 1 Baron AIREDALE 1835-1911) and as her 1 h Mary Katherine HIRST 1877-1944 (Mrs Walter Burt). He m 1973 reg Q3 Hants Hon Jane Elisabeth Sybil ROSKILL b 1948 d of the Law Lord Baron ROSKILL 1911-96 (gt gs of Sir Charles Wentworth DILKE 1 Bt 1810-69) and Elisabeth Wallace 1918-2014 d of Thomas Frame JACKSON of Buenos AIres by his m to Muriel WALLACE, no issue.
