From the Telegraph of 24 Feb 2024: The Earl of Bective and Miss F.L. Greensted - The engagement is announced between Thomas, eldest son of the Marquis of Headfort, of Oxfordshire, and the late Marchioness of Headfort, and Florence, daughter of Mr and Mrs Jack Greensted, of Oxfordshire.

THOMAS RUPERT CHARLES CHRISTOPHER Taylour b 18 June 1989 Earl of Bective s&ha of 7^th Marquess of HEADFORT b 1959 and his 1^st w Susan Jane 1960-2008 d of Charles Anthony VANDERVELL 1927-87 of Burnham, Bucks by his 1959 m reg Q3 London to Audrey Jane McCALL 1933-97.

Florence Lucy b 1993 reg Q4 Warwicks d of Jonathan (Jack) GREENSTED b July 1963 by his c1990 m reg Q1 to Shelley A b March 1960 d of ­Gerald Stanley EDGSON 1928-87 by his 1956 m reg Q2 London to his 1^st w Ruth Audrey COHEN d 1975.

This is good news for the marquessate. Although the Bective earldom has a few more heirs, the former title's continuance is depdendant on Lord Bective and his yr bro Lord Henry TAYLOUR b 1991 and unm in DPB online producing legitimate male heirs.

Gerald Stanley Edgson was the younger son of (Walter) Stanley EDGSON (1892 - 18 II 1950) and his wife (marriage registered Q1 1915 -Marylebone), Nellie SILVESTER.

 

Stanley Edgson was an estate agent and developer, who served on the Western Front during the First World War, reaching the rank of major. He was elected to Westminster City Council as a Municipal Reform Party councillor in 1925, and remained a member of the council until his death. He was Mayor of Westminster in 1942-43 and stood unsuccessfully as the Conservative candidate for the Balham and Tooting constituency at the 1945 General Election.

Certainly good news, as only the Earl and his younger brother, Lord Henry,  are in the line of succession to the Marquessate.

I supposed, his courtesy title is Lord Kenlis now.
